Baby Quacki Chen: Child Star
Quacki Chen was born an adorable little duckling. He was sold into the slavery of doing commercials at a very young age because he was just so cute.
He was saved by Shaolin monk ducks and raised in the arts of flying duck kung fu. This is the start of his story.

What are they thinking?
Today I was talking to someone I really respect and they told me that they are going to vote for George Bush...because they are a Republican. Well that is not really a reason to vote for George Bush in my opinion, but okay. They added that they don't like John Kerry. And in my opinion that's not really a reason not to vote for John Kerry!
Help!

Everything I Need to Know I learned from My Cat
Watching the vice-presidential debates tonight reminded me of this photocartoon and I pondered, "What if cats ran the world?"

It's going to be one of those days!
I woke up today and said to myself, "Self, it's going to be one of those days." Oh you know 'em. A day after one of those weeks, when you are just a bit too tired to be rested from sleeping in late. Saturday is sometimes just not enough reason to relax.
September was just one of those months. The Season is upon us and I mean THE season; Christmas. Now that I am working on e-cards as well as paper greeting cards I am hit by each holiday at least twice; three time if you count the actual holiday!
Add to this the effects of the business of bringing JOY in people's lives, and well sometimes a gal just needs a rest. I spent the week dealing with contracts and agreements (and disagreements) and no matter how much my attorneys explained the "realities" to me I found myself just wishing that people really understood what I got to go through to make the best greeting cards!
Anyway this is not a time for laying down on the job. I am working on Christmas and Thanksgiving, and I've added Durga Puja, Navaratri, and Boss' Day to October's MUST SEE greeting cards. We got Halloween to finish too and then there's Hanukkah and Christmas and Kwanzaa and New Year coming fast.
I think there should be a day when we celebrate the greeting card designers. I think that day should be today.

Life's SO Short
Life's so short...you GOT to make fun of it! The photocartoon series from Kat Caverly has found its new home on Lifessoshort.com. The new site features a catalogue of her series The Photocartoonist as well as the original It Takes All Kinds.
It takes All Kinds made its first appearance in The New York Daily News in 1989 and Universal Press Syndicate said of Kat's photocartoon, "Ordinary people in every day situations really is the ultimate cartoon."
Here are some of my favorites:

Do you smell something funny?
It takes guts, or should I say gibbleguts, to be funny each and every day, but Dan Gibson does just that with his wildly successful cartoon feature, Gibbleguts.com.
In addition to Gibbletoons, Dan regales us with interactive Flash and funny screensavers
which will keep you laughing for hours. My favorites are his dogs but his Farting Cats and Dancing Granny are must sees!
Oh and before you go, check out the Recycled Madonna Bras collection. Dan Gibson must never sleep, otherwise how would he be able to come up with all of this twisted stuff!

Greetings!
Born Kathleen Klutcharch, Kat Caverly did not know that she was going to be Kat Caverly. She didn’t know that she was going to be an artist. She thought she was going to be a doctor when she got her degree in behavioral psychology from the University of Illinois in 1976.
But after a 5 year commercial apprenticeship in Chicago and Atlanta, covering tabletop, advertising and fashion photography, Kat immigrated to New York City where she ended up on the streets with her camera. As The Photocartoonist, Kat Caverly’s photographs offer a fascinating and hilarious look at people and human nature.
Kat started working in the greeting card industry in 1988. She has worked with Avanti Press, Recycled Paper Greetings and Pictura USA. In 1994, Kat Caverly created her alter ego, Shirley Kenosha, and started performing on comedy stages and in cards. As the New York Times duly noted, Kat Caverly is “The Face that launched a 1000 greeting cards.”
Kat launched her first e-greetings website, Photocartoonist.com, in June 2001 and started creating animation in 2002. Her team now consists of writers, animators, graphic designers, composers, directors, playwrights, illustrators, voice talent and bon vivants!
You can see all of Kat Caverly’s work on her network of websites:
